1927 - Pink for boys?

Gender neutral clothing is not a new concept. In fact, every toddler was adorned in white dresses only a century ago. However, after gender neutral clothing died out, it took a while for pink to win the world over as a feminine cover. As recently as 1927, Time Magazine printed the following guidelines as told by popular retailers related to gender specific clothing. Notice that boys, not girls, were supposed to be wearing pink as suggested by six of the country's top retail stores.
